I agree Chad is a good defense player. But south has alot of good players on D this year, Fields, Suttherland, Cobb, Shepherd, Quillen, Bowling, just to name a few.

What about the D line? Any one know if it's looking good are not. What happend to #55 the 10th grader from last years playoff game that played well.

I think losing chad will not hurt South as much as everyone thinks. Steven Q is as fast as Chad, I think S.Q hits the hole better, he also has better take off speed. S.L. has a very good o-line if they give Ricky time then good things will happen. If S.L. can get their defense working together then they should do good this year.

 

I think your right. This loss will not hurt to bad as South, don't use the running game much.

I think this one will be evenly matched. Both of these 2 teams are not powerhouses.

South Laurel won this scrimmage 48-40, SLHS lead 42-32 at the end of the 3rd. The JV and Freshman played the whole 4th period.

South's defense looked bad. Giving up well over 350 yards rushing. Thats not gonna cut it if they hope to do anything with Pulaski, Mercer, and Lincoln. On the other side they looked good. Scoring 48 points.

Steven Quillen is A whole lot faster then Chad Merida hes not as big but he is very elusive in the open field.

South finished strong last year and made the playoffs in Chappel's 2nd season. He is on relatively strong ground as long as they have a solid season this year.
