The Cubs had the same problem last night, but were able to overcome it. I just hope this means the Cubs will score around 10 tomorrow, seems to be their routine after having back to back games like this.

Fortunately for the Cubs they have a big enough lead this year that they shouldn't have to worry about the Reds knocking them out of playoff contention like they did a few years ago when Dusty was managing the Cubs.
August 21, 200818 yr That September stretch still worries me and the Brewers are just crushing the ball right now. When you can score seven runs a game, it can hide bad pitching. When you struggle to score two runs a game against the last place team, you're not going to win.
August 21, 200818 yr Author Brewers are 13-6 in the month of August. In five of those losses they have scored 3 runs in or less. In the last 7 games, they have scored 3 runs or less 3 times and have lost all three games. Cubs are 12-5 in the mongh of August. In all five of their losses, they scored 3 runs or less. So both teams have the same amount have just about the same number of wins and both have had a hard time winning the games when they don't score. That's a shocker.

I'm sick of the Brewers and I'm sick of the Twins. I know this is a Cubs thread, not White Sox. I LOATHE both teams and would thoroughly enjoy not only watching them lose, but not even make the playoffs.
