September 11, 200818 yr McNabb almost always plays well...when he plays. There's always that looming injury when you think about McNabb. If he gets hurt again this year, I'm officially declaring him the new Steve McNair...except McNair almost always played no matter what. I remember McNabb torching somebody last year for like 6 TD's early last year...I keep thinking it was Green Bay. It was most definitely not Green Bay. They lost their opening game to Green Bay last year and I believe they didn't even score an offensive TD.
September 12, 200818 yr I think it was somebody like the Lions. I think the 4 sleeper teams of the year are: Buff Tenn Carolina (if Delhomme stays healthy) Philly
September 12, 200818 yr It's also a big game this weekend between San Diego and Denver. Everybody had S.D. but the Broncos looked really good. I am a little worried for them abou their run defense though.

October 5, 200817 yr Author Good thing you don't get paid for this... Read the people that do get paid for it...not much different. :thumb: There's no way to predict that Tom Brady will play less than one quarter in 2008...that Shawne Merriman will play just a few more minutes than Brady...that the season will be a quarter over before Matt Hasselbeck gets to throw to a real NFL wide receiver... The NFL is by far the most difficult sport to predict. It's impossible.

I agree with that, and the Chargers, as well as the Dolphins, but come on you shoulda seen it with the Bengals. I wouldn't have done any better, I woulda had the Browns on top.

One of these years, I'm going to hit it...not this one though. It's impossible. Who in the world expected Atlanta to start 3-2? Or a team that nearly went winless in '07 to beat the two teams in the AFC Championship game in successive weeks? Or the Redskins...new coach, new offense, young QB, defensive questions and they're playing great? That's what makes the NFL so fun to watch...and so hard to predict. I just think it's fun to try it and see how it turns out.

I think the 4 sleeper teams of the year are: Buff Tenn Carolina (if Delhomme stays healthy) Philly This was a fun thread too pull back up. I look pretty good on this call along with McNabb. WOW we all missed a lot in the predictions part though. Teams like Miami and Atl messed everybody up.
January 13, 200917 yr Author The NFL is impossible to predict. I think this was the worst I've ever done...I had a much better go in 2007. Oh well...I'll try it again next year.

January 13, 200917 yr Author  You couldn't have been much more wrong No, I couldn't have. But, after browsing the rest of thread, I realize that my picks weren't much different than anyone else's that was brave enough to take a stab at it. In hindsight, the only pick I feel bad about was Cincinnati. Of course, picking the records is a crapshoot that takes more time than its worth and is impossible...but I enjoy trying it. Like I said, I'll try this again next season.
