August 8, 200818 yr When this appeal process was explained, it was thought that Ben would finally get the chance to state his case. The NCAA decided they didn't need to hear it and turned him down a final time. Hopefully they can find a grad assistant spot for him and he stays in Clifton...
August 8, 200818 yr Author When this appeal process was explained, it was thought that Ben would finally get the chance to state his case. The NCAA decided they didn't need to hear it and turned him down a final time. Hopefully they can find a grad assistant spot for him and he stays in Clifton... I found it odd that they didn't give him a chance to speak at all.
August 8, 200818 yr I found it odd that they didn't give him a chance to speak at all. What it came down to is there was no documentation from Wake on his foot injury as a FROSH. With no way to prove what Mauk was claiming, they decided they didn't need to hear him make his case. Time to close this chapter. Next man in...

August 8, 200818 yr I doubt this is the last time you see Mauk on the back of a UC jersey. 4 years until the Matt Mauk era begins... But will it be as successful as the Matt Mauck era was at LSU.
August 9, 200818 yr I hate to hear that for Mauk and Cincy. QB seems to be their glaring weakness. It's certainly the biggest question mark. Luckily BK has a great history of getting the most out of his QBs, and there is some good talent behind Grutza if he can't get it done. After a slow start to camp Dustin has played really well this week...

After a slow start to camp Dustin has played really well this week... I have no doubt Bk and co. have been planning and will have an explosive offense in place. Edited August 9, 200818 yr by LCPATS
