Lee Co 2008/2009

As you can see I am a new member and do not know who any of the code names are so I wouldnt know who the professor is. I just seen your quotes about Lee County and I wanted to keep up with any information about them because I would love to live back in Lee but I am not able to. You seem to have a good following of Lee so I will tell you the other state touranament team was 1973. I was a member of that team. The Larry Stamper team of 1968 was of my opinion the best team Lee has ever had. I loved watching them as a young boy. I will always be a Lee Co. person no matter how long I have to live away.

Welcome to the BGP family:thumb: I sent you a PM.

If you were with The Professor...then yes we met. Glad I could help out with the information. I remember that 1968 Lee Co team...been one of my favorite teams in the 40+ years I have been going to the State Tourney.

I also have heard that the Charles kids is a good player. I am sure that Coach Danny Joe Wright will have the Bobcats ready for this season.:thumb:

Actually that was me. :D

I would like to ask some of you from Lee what the enrollment is at Lee Co. I left Lee 31 years ago and am still a avid fan and follow my hometown closely. I love to hear that things are going good for them.

I think that the total enrollment average around 350 at LCHS (down from around 450 in the 1980's). This years' incoming freshmen class is a bit above average with about 90 students.

The current national economic situation is causing some of the northern factory workers to return home where the 'cost of living' is much lower.

I graduated from LCHS in the late 70's and returned 'home' about 4 years ago. Good to hear from you!

Two more families moved into Lee County this month. Both have sons that play basketball. One is a smooth and athletic Sophomore guard from Jessamine County (I think). The other is a Junior transfer from a local Christian school but I don't know anything about him.

Lee will shake the 14th up this year a little bit if the kids that have moved there can help at all. Charles is as good as any kid in the 14th, Pelfrey is big, and DJW will work hard at getting them prepared.
