July 23, 200818 yr Growing up in the suburbs of Baltimore, I didn't really watch the Reds at all until I moved to Maysville as an adult. As a result, my list is formulated more along the lines of who was nice to my kids at card shows, that kind of thing - as opposed to being my favorites as players. For personal reasons, here are my favorites: Tony Perez Ron Oester Danny Jackson Tim Birtsas And my favorite of all, for two reasons. First, he was the exact opposite of his reputation at a card show several years ago, funny, cracking jokes, etc. when everyone said he was a crusty old man. July 23, 200818 yr On ability, Morgan was outstanding and my last choice. I've grown to like him less and less, since he became an announcer. . I am glad to hear someone else make that statement about Joe's commentary on MLB games. I loved him as a player but now am sick of him. He may have helped LaRussa invent the game.
