How long has it been? If I were a player at Lincoln, this coaching search would show me how much baseball means to this administration, and I would probably hit the road.

I have heard Woods may join his former Coach from Lincoln at East Jessamine.

I think this has already taken place. As soon as his Dad was hired at Lincolon he took an Asst. job at East Jess.

This process seems to be dragging itself out like the last hire! I have to agree with hardball, the administration is really not sending a positive message for its baseball program.

Have they hired anyone yet? School has started, I guess that rules out a teacher getting the job.

Still not hearing much, this seems odd that no one knows anything about this job. Did they have anyone apply?

Josh Loughery or Brad Macnew is who I've herd who will get the job.

Two young, involved coaches. Either would be good. As for the hiring process, it is up to the AD. Why he is not in a hurry, I don't know. Baseball is, IMHO, third fiddle at LC. Always has, and always will be until they have some success and get the interest level up.

Anything new on the block in this coaching search.......?

They did some interviews this week.

Good to hear that they are moving along in the process. The kids have to be anxious to find out who there new coach will be. Good Luck to all candidates, hopefully the best guy will get the job. The program deserves a good coach!

Even if they have success and interest increases, baseball will still play third fiddle behind basketball and football. Lincoln County folks have always been crazy about hoops and the gridiron.

I hear they are naming a coach this week, probably Thursday night at the board meeting I would guess. Any ideas of who it might be?

I heard, that the AD didnt want to hire any of the canidates that he interviewed...

The AD made a decision last week and he's going to make an announcement somtime later this week. They have to wait for the Site Based Council to meet and approve the hire (I guess). I agree with the previous posts that it is utterly ridiculous that it has taken this long for the administration at Lincoln to hire a coach. I feel bad for the kids, since this pretty much eliminates the possibility of them playing any type of organized fall baseball this year. Some of the players are having to go to Danville in order to play this fall. Pretty sad.
