What's funny about it? I know I'm getting old and senile, but I'm pretty sure Rose Hill had the same coaching staff. Does the coaching staff not get any credit, or all you saying that the girls get all of the credit?

It did appear that last year Head coach was just going through the motions.

The era of the Hair Dresser/Boys Cheer Leader and Waterboy is finally over. Rose Hill made a wise choice in Coach Watkins. You will never see or hear of him physically grabbing or slamming players because of missed free throws or jumpshots. Instead he will teach the proper fundamentals of the game to them. Everyone in the region knows what took place and the area coaches were in mourning upon hearing of the route to the Toyota plant area and to Blazer Blvd.The only real obstacle is to undo the severe damage caused by the Zohan and Bobby Boucher.

 

Whoever is responsible for making the changes at Rose Hill should be applauded. They now have former college players as Head Coaches in Baseball, Football and Girls Basketball. Many High Scool teams have coaches both head and assistants that have never played on an organized official team...it just doesn't make sense. How can someone coach something that they never played, or do it justice? Rose Hill should move quickly and find a coach for the boys basketball team and also a top notch Athletic Director.

If Rose Hill can land another former college player to coach the boys then that would be a remarkable feat or in Rose Hill's case a divine miracle.

 

Since I am woman of predictions, I will predict with these three outstanding coaches that Rose Hill will see an increase in enrollment and within 4 years if these coaches stay put, Rose Hill will be in the top five of the region in all these sports.

 

By the way, I heard that Rose Hill was not the only school in need of an Athletic Director :sssh:

Well with your intimate knowledge of Rose Hill, I suppose you weren't a fan of the last head coach, since he didn't play in college either. The hairdresser and waterboy, that's rich. You've got some keen insight there. I'll guess that most are pretty tickled that they've moved or the rest of the region would be in dire straits for the next couple of seasons wouldn't they? I was mistaken, I tabbed you as one with a bit more style. I suppose the Clinton years have made you somewhat bitter.

You just wont leave things alone. You have your coaching staff and all your girls so why not just let things die down. Are you that upset that 3 of the starters are leaving next year. Sorry but not my problem so get off of my case. When I had these girls in grade school and middle school there were never any complaints we always had a blast and went and did things as a team and had a great time. You keep saying he did this and he did that HE was not the head coach He was the coach of grade school and middle school, and he was the ASSISTANT coach on the high school team. You guys can go ahead and cut down the coaches of last year and thats fine but some of you that knew the head coach knows that she did things to lift their spirits and help them to have a good time through the season ,We were loosing games but anybody that looked at our bench could see why(we were young). You guys have fun cutting down the coaches. Good luck next season.

Dont know what you are talking about by severe damage but you guys should not have a hard time turning the program around since there are only a few left to turn around.

Here is some insight to Russell. Kidwell has two former High School standouts that were also College Players in Parsley and Skaggs. Instead of using them to his benefit he will probably pick option "Z" , which is to allow "Bench Daddies" to coach in his system and will probably condone them to coach Russell players in AAU Basketball. I guess when the going gets tough the tough transfers to other schools like Russell. I am very concerned for all the schools in this region and in a couple of other regions because of what has been allowed to go on over the years.
