I am not a HHH mark, but they really didn't have any other choice at Backlash. JBL couldn't run with the strap on Raw. He did OK when he was World Champ on Smackdown, but Raw is another animal. Cena is going to be filming a movie over the summer so that basically took him out of the mix. Now, on to Mr. Orton. Story is that he got himself in some more hot water on the WWE's latest trip to Europe. It seems that Mr. Orton didn't appreciate being woken up early by the hotel staff. Evidently, there was some miscommunication between Mr. Orton and the hotel staff on exactly what time his wake up call was. Anyway, Orton took his room service food and proceeded to dump the food on the hotel staff members who woke him up. I doubt he will be suspended, but I definitly see his antics costing him the WWE title. There really is no reason to put the title on HHH.....The smart money would be on a real good HHH/Orton fued this summer with Trips putting Orton over to further legitimize Orton as a top player.......if he can stay out of trouble.

 

 

The hotel room incident has nothing to do with Orton losing the title. He has turned his life around after the problems he had the last few years which is why he had such a long run with the title. To keep the feud going for the summer the title had to switch hands or else they would have to throw someone else in the mix.

I'd say it more to do with it than you think. I don't call throwing food on hotel staff 'turning your life around.' Who else are they going to throw in the mix anyway?

It's been a long time since I watched wrestling but HHH did rule when I watched it. That was from DX time to the breakup of DX, and the Stephanie McMahon marriage ordeal, etc...

Now there's a change. I think he enjoys his ruthless character on the show.

I am glad they put the strap back on HHH. Him and Orton should have a good run. Had not heard about the food thing in Europe. But that would be something that would get the belt off him for a brief time. I look for them to pass it back and forth. HBK will have one more title run. Just not right after he retired Flair. They really need another to come on to make a run with Orton. I can see Kennedy if he stayes out of trouble. I think they could make him a face in the way they did Austin. People want to cheer him. He has too good of mic skills not too.
