I haven't heard Maher's apology mentioned...has anyone seen it? Was it satisfactory?
It was worse than most political non-apology apologies. To paraphrase Maher, he admitted that the Pope was not a Nazi but then said that the Pope had sworn his allegience directly to Hitler, which was in a way even worse in his opinion.
