Any new players at Corbin?

Featured Replies

Are there any new players for the Redhounds this year? I've heard the possibility of Manns and Hendrickson from the basketball team playing this season. Also has anyone transferred in?

I believe that he was on the line. He is a big, strong young man and should contribute greatly. What does Coach P think about his basketball players playing football? Manns should be one of his starting 5 this year and won't be able to join the team as early due to football.

I'm glad to see him playing football. At smaller schools, you have to share players. One thing that has always gotten me is when folks say What does Coach X think of his player playing one sport. I know how it looks and saying it that way is the best way to get the point across but these kids aren't the possession of any coach. I'm not pointing you out Phinneaus because you brought that up, I was just talking the general perception of players being one coaches player b/c they played that sport first.

The coaches had better comb the halls at the high school and try to find some lineman prospects for the next couple of years. Maybe a couple who have fallen through the cracks may give it a shot since the opportunity for PT will be there.

The only linemen with any experience returning from last year are Hayden, Taylor & Creech.

Manns has great feet to go along with his size. If he works as hard on the football field as he does on the baskletball court he will be a load.

Isn't the Mills kid that is coming up from Middle School supposed to be an impact player on the line? I've seen him and he is a hoss cat.

Lewallen played small amounts as a freshman, and had shoulder surgery this year. He may be a big help.

I think the real hurt for the Hounds will be experience on the line.

Finding players who haven't played in awhile or a freshman new to HS ball can be a hard learning curve.

I have a hunch some linemen will show when needed, though. They have to be in the system there somewhere.

I think Nick Mills and Brody Jones will play alot this year both are freshmen. But it will take some game experance. I think about mid season they will be fine. And the Barton kid who quit last year is back and stronger he will help. And Guy will play alot once he gets into playing shape so I don't think it will be that bad the kids have work hard and will be ready.

The kids are all there, somewhere in the system, to play, it's just a matter of finding them and having them ready. Hounds will be OK.

Aaron Manns is playing football this year. He practiced the last week of spring practice and really seemed to enjoy it.
