The pitching didn't work for the Birds tonight. I think Boone County had 16 hits. Can't remember all of the them but Farris was 2-4 with a HR, Reed 3-4 and Lokesak HR. Boone started out with Wander pitching but after he walked 3 and hit a batter he was replaced wth Houlehan who got the job done. Offensively for Highlands, Newman 2B, Muench 2-2, HR.

The pitching settled down when Houlehan came in with the bases loaded, no out, and one run in in the first. Retired the side with no more damage on 8 pitches. Pitched 3 shut out innings in relief of the starter for the win. Nick goes to 3-0 with a no decision in this young season. Boone is now 6-1 on the young season.

I saw where Head took the loss. How many did he give up before getting yanked?

He gave up one monster of a homer to Farris in the first. Heard today that people working at the Ft. Thomas Swim Club found the ball at the bottom of the pool. It was a shot for sure!:scared:
