March 29, 200818 yr This really concerns me since my son is thinking about applying for a teaching job at Bell County. Is this the norm in Pineville? No, not anymore than anywhere else. There are racists everywhere, so you will run into some in Bell Co., but not anymore percentage wise than anywhere else. The KKK has been to Bell Co. once before, and it wasnt well received, so I'm not really sure why it is coming back. On a side note, is he looking to coach? I have heard there could be an assistant's position opening up at the high school if he is doing high school level education.
March 30, 200818 yr This ought to be great exposure for KY Although it may be taking place in Kentucky, it would not suprise me to see that most of the people organizing this would be labeled "outside agitators" I think it is fair to say (and I know alot of folks from Pineville, Middlesboro and Bell County) that the people involved in the rally are not representitive of the mass population. You have ignorant igits everywhere. It seems to me that the people who live there are just like most of us on this board, they want to make a nice living and go to the games on Friday night and watch their teams play. TO nWo: If your son is thinking about applying at Bell County do not let this isolated incident keep him from it. Bell has a nice school system and Bell County itself is one of the more scenic areas to live.
