Meeks and Patterson return for the first round?

I agree with you 100%. Back in 1997 Derek Anderson was cleared by the doctors to play and Pitino would only let him shoot a technical free throw. He said he did not want to hurt his pro chances. Well guess what, he was still in college and should have been allowed to play. To this day, Derek says he wanted to play. Had he played, I'm pretty sure UK would have had 3 national championships in a row instead of 97 and 98. Even without him, Arizona barely squeeked by.

My point is, if you are medically cleared to play, get out there and give it your best shot, if not, then wait until next year.

Sorry for the typo. I meant 96 and 98. Thus my 3 in a row reference had they won it in 97. Derek was one of my favorite players along with Jeff Sheperd who actually was in a commercial filmed at my home shortly after the 98 game. It was a blast shooting hoops with him on my UK goal. Man could he jump.

Just got a report out of Anaheim. Meeks is basically just shooting jump shots, but not going through any of the drills. Word is he is doing some light running by looks gimpy.
