Congrats to Holmes.

Wasn't close :flame: DHHS#15 don't think your boys showed up! You owe me a ice cream!!! LOL

your right some of the boys played scared only a few boys for Dixie looked like they was ready to play

Was the game as lopsided as the score indicates?

I actually heard from several people, it wasn't as close as the score indicates.:scared:

Is it true that Dixie's coach after the last meeting said he wanted them again when healthy? If it is, is this what he had in mind?

Man, I hope not. The first game was a Holmes clinic and this one appears to have been worse.

Congrats Bulldogs. Congrats Colonels also for a fine season.

Holmes could have won by 50 had they wanted. No starter saw the floor in the fourth quarter and Dixie had their starters in until about 3 minutes to go in the game.

A few notes from the game:

1. NKY got a glimpse of what they are in store for next year in Jamel Riley of Holmes. I've been watching this kid since he was in the 6th grade and he finally broke out and shot the ball for once. 17 points and 5 of 5 from behind the arc. I believe Holmes has found their deep threat to compliment R. Johnson next year.

2. Mace is very overrated. 2 points last night and even the JV'ers were scoring on him. Very bad move on his part though to push Arrez after Arrez scored on him. IMO very classless and not something a senior leader does.

3. Holmes defense stymied Dixie and frustrated them all night long.

4. Lawson of Dixie seemed to be the only one who showed up. He wasn't spectacular but played the best of the Dixie bunch.

5. Holmes hit a 3 to close out every quarter at the buzzer and 7 for the night. Very good coaching and execution by the Holmes bunch.

Here's a quote from Chevalier after the game (from nky.com)..

"That was a hell of an exhibition," Chevalier said. "... If they shoot the ball that well, they might win a state championship."

I just wanted to say WOW about this Holmes team I thought With all Dixie's seniors they would keep it close, but Holmes is way to good for them. You were right and I was wrong.

I will be pulling for Holmes. They are the best team from the 9th I have seen in years

Everyone's wrong from time to time. I'm not going to be like most people and say " I told you so." Good to have another person on board rooting for Holmes. :thumb:

No surprise. Congrats!

I have said it all year long. Holmes is the best TEAM in the state.
