I was thinking the same thing about their stutend body...was suprised not more was there.

I got to talk to mhighfield and mcpapa....always glad to see these two very classy Mason Co fans. Glad to call them my friends. :thumb:

:thumb:Thanks GS always nice to see you also.

I hate to say it, but I told you so.

You were close, but no cigar. You said 25 and it was 23. Third time is a charm.:thumb:

Mason County students are so spoiled with having a winning team its no big deal anymore. Students were there but scattered throughout the crowd. IT was fun seeing the UK players clapping to the Mason Co School Song

GRC had a nice run in the first quarter, but the second quarter (especially the late three at the buzzer) really put a damper on their sales...

Congrats to Mason, hard to believe this was the first time I had been able to watch them this year, with my school studies and not playing Bourbon for the first time in what seems like ages, didn't get a chance to see the Royals first hand till tonight... It's amazing to me how much Miller has improved from year to year...

It was pretty clear to me... Mason is the "now" team, GRC is the "future" team... I know the people around the 40th have talked about it all year, and I think the region will clearly see it... I wouldn't be shocked to see multiple state appearances for GRC the next few years... Stenzel is the real deal, I like the Rogers kid, and Hatton is going to provide quality leadership next year... plus for my money, Humphrey is the best coach in the region....

Miller is a good ball player but I thought the officials really protected him tonight. I know for sure he got by with a bunch of fouls. That's one advantage of being a big time noted ball player. I'm sure the Mason Co fans didn't see this.:ylsuper::thumb:

:thumb: Nice post. Miller got most of his points off of put backs, rebounds, and around the rim type shots.

Excellent assumption for the young GRC Cards but I do remember several years back when they were ranked 1 in the region 2 years in a row and were knocked off each time in the first round of the region. They did have a great year as freshman but dont forget that little old county school in north ky along the river thats apart of region 10 that always reloads year after year.:dancingpa

Great showing for the Royals after coming out a little flat; looked to me like Clark was hustling just a little bit more than Mason in the first quarter. When Mason turned up the defensive intensity and got Darius playing on the inside, it was lights out.

Score 22-18; Mason goes on one of its runs. Setty's dagger at the halftime buzzer put the Royals up 13. I think the blue half of the gym knew it was the Royals' night when that shot went down. Mason scored something like 20 straight from the middle of the 2nd quarter well into the second half.

Setty showed lots of versatility in his offensive game tonight. Has gone from a spot-up shooter to someone who can hit floaters in the lane, get to the rim, and still hit the long-range bomb. But it was the defense that carried the Royals in this one; seems like Clark got to the 30-point mark about halfway through the 4th quarter.

Listened to Clark's coach on the radio after the game, very classy interview. Praising his seniors' leadership in a year where they (the seniors) had to sacrifice minutes and points to talented underclassmen.

Coach G and the Cats were down in our corner; must have heard that papa would be there.:D Actually it was very nice of BCG to sign the BGP hat I was sporting.

See you Wednesday night!

Billy G was there ..sat in the end zone where the UK players sat. He was flying form our game to watch UHA and Henderson Co play.

.

He must have been going to Illinois according to this article.

Man, it was a 20-plus win, though. :thumb:

Great win Mason County ... keep plugging away.
