Final! A bit of a surprise here!

Well, there goes another one of my BGP contest picks, to go along with Anderson County and Ballard, who I also picked to win their regions.

I too am surprised. I saw Adair a few times this year. At times, they looked very very good. The only "clunker" I saw them throw in was against Lafayette in OT.

Adair Co. took a ton of bad shots down the stretch. No reason for Ballou to be chucking threes from the corner against CH's zone when they're only down two with 30 seconds left. He should be planted at the high post and drawing fouls, especially when he's taller than anybody CH has by 3-4 inches.

 

Kalen Kimberland had 30 for Adair in his final game. Chris Nichols led CH with 17.

 

Bardstown v. Central Hardin tomorrow night should be pretty entertaining. The Tigers got a good look at a 1-3-1 tonight, so there shouldn't be too many surprises Tuesday night when the Bruins do the same thing.

All the credit to the Bruins in this one...they shot lights out in the first quarter(10-11 FG's, including 5-5 3-pointers) and were able to hold off an Adair charge late. CH led by 14 late in the 3rd, Adair came back to tie it with 2:30 remaining in the 4th, but couldnt get over the hump.

A long drought will be broken tomorrow night: Bardstown will look for their first Sweet Sixteen appearance since 1971 and Central Hardin will be looking for their first in school history.

IMO this Adair Co team underachieved this year. Congrats to Central Hardin for pulling the upset.
