If Powell is the class of the 14th, I wouldn't bet on the trip to Applebee's just yet. The 16th will be as good as usual, with Boyd being down for Boyd, which is still awfully good.

Seventh grade? That is incredible that they would put a seventh grader on the squad to start with. What happened to get cut after that many years?

Crisp came out after basketball was over and got cut, as a senior. The coaches were not happy with him because he didn't play last summer. That's a fact.

 

And Wilson will be limited due to injury, but could still possibly hit some, as I've heard it hasn't affected his swing a whole lot.

There are a few coaches that feel playing one sport is the way to go in the 14th and 15th region as well. I do hear some of the 16th region teams are extremely bad in Baseball believing that the players should commit year round. Shouldnt take a child's memories away from them, let them play all the sports.

 

I will have to say as well after talking with our High school baseball coach, he was very shocked that Boyd let Crisp go. He had nothing but praise for the kid, must be more to the reasoning.

Yeal and the whole sports program at these school's pay for it as well. I think some coaches are out for the bright spot and not the kids.

I would tend to agree with this statement. It is sad that a coach would ever tell a kid not to play something that he loves doing.

Wow, I guess the numbers are down at BC. This just a down cycle in number of kids that like playing baseball? :confused:
