Knox has good team and Miller is a heck of a player and I wish them luck throughout the rest of the tournament. If Corbin is shooting like they were last night, it may be the end of the season for the Panthers.

 

It always hurts to lose that final game of the season when your boys have worked so hard. But this didn't just end a season, this was the end of basketball forever at Cumberland High School. So it hurts exponentially bad.....:cry:

Cumberland's starting guards shot 2-22 from the field, which included 1-15 from the 3 point line and were 0-0 at the FT line. Cumberland only managed 6 FT's the entire game, which sounds like they relied way to much on jump shots.

 

Those guards could not throw it in the ocean last night, but congrats to Cumberland on the great year they had...

You hate to see kids have those type of games on this type of stage, but it happens sometimes.

I think there is some arguement in that case. Hubbs was a better shooter, Miller a better rebounder which he should b/c he has more size. IMO

 

I don't know if Hubbs was a better shooter or not. Miller shoots the ball pretty well. I bet Millers % is probably better. Takes a lot less shots and still scores as many points.

I will say it one more time for the record. Cumberland should have played both Wilson and Johnson on the block. They had the best inside game in the region.

I must say, I am a fan of all this kids and coaches of this region. I would love to see Corbin win. If they don't win, then they had a great season. May the best team in the 13th Region represent us in Lexington @ Rupp.

 

Knox Central is going to be a tough team -- especially playing at home. I am hoping for a huge crowd on both sides and an exciting game like many of the district games used to be. Have to love this long-standing rivalries.

I sat by Coach Elam during the Corbin/Pineville game -- very polite and knowledgable coach. I have the upmost respect for him. He is also fun to watch working the sideline. :-) He's got passion!
