Scott will not only have to play CC players who are bigger but also deal w/ the home court advantage. Scott will have to hit from the outside, something they have not done well as of late to stay in this one. Bigger question is will they play physical enough or will only one team be allowed to play that style. Scott should also play more uptempo instead of allowing CC to set up in the zone to have a shot at winning.

 

You are right about playing bigger players, but not about the home court advantage. We only play 1 game a year at the middle school. That is why the schools voted it in as a neutral site.

Calls always seem to go the Campbell Co. schools way when you play in that gym come this time.

 

I agree, they played them close for 3 quarters pressuring them.

 

Give me a break, go back and see how many games they have won in "that gym" in the last five years.

Guessing Brossart had the better teams and certainly better coaching?? Agree I don't remember ANY Campbell County teams getting much of an advantage in that gym, including Tuesday night?? I've seen a lot of CC games in both gyms, and don't remember any homer jobs that stick out over the years??

I think Scott will have a good game plan, play hard; but these aren't your daddy's Camels?? They play something called defense now, and have very good depth around a core of fine players. Scott is playing much better, and O' Conner gives them a better inside presence; but the Camels have a pretty good coach too, and have far too much experience and seem hungry to play up to their potential--Camels by 10 +, but no blowout.

First off I'm taking the Camels over Scott by no less than 15.

 

Now in the regular season meeting Campbell won by 27 and had a 16 point lead going into the fourth. Your way off base with the whole 6 point lead comment.

 

Also scott has NO ONE who can defend Franzen or Nerl. Gligorevic may slow down Pete a little but he'll still get his 10-15 points and 8-10 rebounds. Camels are way too athletic for Scott to compete.

 

I don't know where anyone could get the idea that the Camels get all the calls at home. I've gone to every game this season and have yet to see a game where everything goes their way other than the occasional charge that could go in anyone's favor. If they get all the calls then why have they lost 3 of their last 5 at home by 12 or fewer points. Seems to me like if a team got all the calls they would be able to steal the wins. But I guess not...

 

You were right about Nerl, he played a great game!
