Carroll Co 62 Walton-Verona 60

Sounds like a great game...especially for the Lady Panthers to pull it together without their leader, Girdy, at the end.

Agreed. The Lady Panthers hit big shot's late and Walton still had their chances to win. I was surprised not to see Sargent at the end of the game to finish it. She had a good night, and not to see her finish the game was surprising. Even though we were on the 'bad end' it was a good game. Enjoyed it.

Conrats to Carroll Co. They played hard and never gave up. WV coach Rosen was back on the bench after an illness. WV will need to pick up a step to fill in for Krahl who is out due to knee injury. She was missed in this game and would have made a difference in the outcome. Goodluck to both teams as they head into districts.

It was a glimpse of what next year will be like. The young girls (Curry, Devine and Hunter) are really stepping up.

I agree with OneCat on Krahl, she is a tough competitor and I felt bad seeing her on crutches on the side line.

On a side note..the Mascot was really fun and the girls made some pictures with him/her. Lots of team spirit at WV!
