I agree with the ville. The fans should get behind these kids that are playing and stop all the negative talk.

I also agree with The Ville and 3 Point Plan; the fans should get behind the athletes which as 3 point play pointed out are kids and focus all their energy on them instead of the negative talk. I don't think you can judge any coach by one season. I think Coach Banks is a good person and coach and will get the program straightened out, if the administration will let him.

I have read throughout this thread a pattern of continuous bashing of the premise. It is reactions like this that make me..................................

What premise is being bashed?

Coach Banks has worked really hard at Breathitt and the problems the program has seen this season are hard to explain. Kids have left the team for various reasons. It's a different world today and I'm not sure what the answers are in keeping young athletes dedicated to a cause. In any case, if Coach Banks does step down, I sure can't imagine Cecil Clair being able to get back in the saddle after being out of basketball for so long. On the other hand, I've heard nothing about Coach Banks leaving.

I have heard lots of things but I doubt any of them are TRUE. We just have had a tough year at Breathitt Co. High School but so has other teams in our area, and thats about all anyone can say. After the season is over I am sure things will get looked at really close and if any changes are needed to be made they will be made for the betterment of the Breathitt Co sports program. We still have games to play and seems as tho they (Bobcats)are playing some better. Kids have so many other things to do these days and its not easy to coach kids today. I must say parents are a lot of the problem in our sports programs today. I do think I am right. We all love our kids and sometimes we are blinded to fact that they just might not be as good as WE think. Think about it and I really do believe you will see it's not always the coach. That's not saying they have NO blame because they DO.
