February 20, 200818 yr Funny that someone could say Marvin says a lot in pressers. I could have sworn I read on here many times how many BGP'ers were upset w/Marvin's Monday afternoon press conferences b/c he was so vague in his answering.

Marvin has "opened" up this offseason, basically to appease the fans. We'll see what happens.
February 23, 200818 yr Marvin has said a lot of things in pressers. I'll believe it when I see it. Yeah, and the media and the fans interpret differently than what he means a lot of times, which goes back to his vagueness, which I agree he masters. He has talked about character guys; that has been the biggest gripe with fans; fans thought he was referring to guys with checkered pasts. He explained he was talking about players' coachability and the willingness to be team players. It was his fault that the media and the fans misinterpreted because he was unclear, but still most did misinterpret. Usually when he talks about the draft, he basically names all the positions to not give other teams a read on the Bengals' desires. A lot does depend on who is drafted in front of them; they can't take whatever player they want; they have to draft who is available. They will definitely look at TE, but they won't draft one just for the sake of drafting one; he has to fit the round. I certainly don't think Marvin is making it up about looking at the TE position.
