kysportsfan4life Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Mason County only led once throughout the whole game until the final few minutes, but ended up pulling this one out. Too many turnovers for Bourbon County, they should have won this one. Good win for Mason, though. Just shows you that in their region, anyone can win on a given night, and just because they are a top team in the region that other teams are going to just lay down and lose. Cline 30 (4 threes and 8-8 from the line), Chambers 26 (7 rebounds 7-9 from the free throw line and 4 assists), Litzinger 13, K. Menke 6, Queen 2 Norton 19, Livengood 16 8 rebounds, Ratliff 15 (13 in the first half), Massey 9, Edwards 6, Stanford 4 17/19 from the line (Mason County - 89.5%), 14-22 (Bourbon County -63.3%) 34-24 rebounding advantage for Bourbon County 18 turnovers for Mason, 17 for Bourbon 25 pts off turnovers for Mason, 18 for Bourbon Mason County down by something like 10 at half time, from what coach Buser said. I'm looking forward to the match-up between Paris and Mason County on Monday. With Paris' great defense, it should be a dandy.
kysportsfan4life Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 Can a mod change this? It was 77-69. Sorry.
hounddawg Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Very heartbreaking loss for the Lady Colonels. They led by 13 late in the third quarter and from there Mason just took over. Bourbon was missing too many easy shots and turning the ball over. They also couldn't stop Cline on the drive or Chambers in the paint. Tough loss for BC but good win for MC to come back. And yes Monday should be a great game between MC and Paris. I doubt Paris will allow 77 points.
Homeplate Hero Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I was very impressed to how the lady royals replied in the second half. Being down 10 at the break I sure PB gave them a rear-end chewing. Rediculas FG % in the 2nd half, and as always Free throws will win close games. Congrats lady royals
U Reach I Teach Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I think the Lady Colonels can beat any time in the region at any given time
bigblueinsanity Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I agree the 40th District is a mini 10th Region.
LIVINGOUTADREAM Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I think the Lady Colonels can beat any time in the region at any given time Agree PK, Bourbon County matches up with Montgomery as far as personell on the court. They match with speed and size. Bourbon and Montgomery run a similiar style of offense, they like to utilize their size plus shooting ability so this should be a dandy of a 1st round District matchup. Both are well coached. Must give Mason County credit, they were not going to be denied in the second half of this game.
