Religion Question...

Do you think that you have to be first become a Jew to become a Christian?

Think about it before you respond. Is not our God, the God of Abraham, the God of Issac, the God of Jacob. Is Jesus not a decendent of King David? How are we to understand Christ, if we do not understand the background, the people, the heritage. Just a question?

But didn't Jesus fulfill The Law of Moses, and the Jews rejected that & him?

Jesus/Paul said the Gospel is for both Jew and Gentile.

I am currently dating a practicing Jew. We had a discussion about how Jesus did not fufill all the prophecies. She gave me a pretty well thought out document, that I will post in another thread

NO, Jews do not believe in Jesus as the Messiah. As a Christian I do, being Jewish would be counter productive to what I believe.

My thinking is a real Jew would believe in Christ, since Christ is the King of Jews; which means a real Jew would then be Christian if they believed in Christ. But they will get their second chance to accept him at the Second Coming. They will know him by the prints in his hands.

I thought about this last night. What about this... once a person becomes a christian, then he might become at least part of the Jewish customs. Passover is just one example, reading the O.T. so on

As a Christian and doing things as a Jewish person. One thing is the Ten Commandents..but look at these and one is "remember the sabbath". We don't use their "Sabbath' Shutting down on Friday until Saturday nite. We use the term as Sunday as a day for the reason of the "Sabbath". Its a day we view as Holy.

Sabbath is the first day of the week, which in our calendar is Sunday

Christ fulfilled the Law of Moses. The Passover represents the blood of the lamb, Christ. Sacrifice and the Law of Moses was fulfilled in Christ. He gave us a higher law to live, i.e. The Sermon on THe Mount, and The Beatitudes.

He came not to abolish the law but to fullfil it, therefore, I believe that we have an obligation to understand what He has fullfilled.

Mr. with all due, God intended the Sabbath on a Saturday.
