Les Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Central wins in OT. No. 1 seed goes to the Panthers.
Les Posted February 12, 2008 Author Posted February 12, 2008 Cody Miller had 31. Jacob Scalf 26. Miller might just be the best player in the region.
Les Posted February 12, 2008 Author Posted February 12, 2008 Actually, Scalf had 28. Strange had 21, Day 24, Warren 22.
Les Posted February 12, 2008 Author Posted February 12, 2008 Miller also had 15 rebounds, three blocks, two steals and five assists. Back-to-back games of 31 points. The kid can play.
Les Posted February 12, 2008 Author Posted February 12, 2008 Knox Central led by as much as eight points in the fourth quarter before Pineville rallied.
wideopen Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I think Knox is one of those teams that could win the region.
gchs_uk9 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I think Knox is one of those teams that could win the region. The 13th is played in their home gym, yes? Knox might could win, but I would think they will go as far as the draw allows - meaning they won't be a favorite.
Les Posted February 12, 2008 Author Posted February 12, 2008 Uhhh, yes, Knox Central will be a favorite.
gchs_uk9 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Uhhh, yes, Knox Central will be a favorite. There is a difference between A favorite and THE favorite. I think Corbin and South Laurel rank slightly ahead of Knox Central right now, although having the tournament in their gym will help things.
Hasbeen Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 History and inconsistancy are against KC winning the region. Yet, one would be foolish to bet against them, especially at home.

They play South Thursday. There are no clear-cut favorites in the 13th Region, thus Central, Corbin, South, Pineville and maybe even Cumberland are all favorites.
the villager Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Knox Central led by as much as eight points in the fourth quarter before Pineville rallied. Pineville was up by 6 so its not like KC was running away with this game. Both teams played very well, Pineville just came up a bit short.
