Hate to do this but this is another misinforming post! Shields and Wright did the game. If you guys are going to say something about the officials at least do some research before you post an incorrect name. That makes the official look bad who wasn't in the wrong and makes you look worse.

Here is the problem with NCC.......They aren't that good. This team is missing Keirnan because he was such a dominant inside player. Lipscomb is the best all around player they have and he has a lot on his shoulders.

 

Geisler is ok, a role player maybe but not a stud on the inside. They have good size but average skilled post players.

Pangallo is a very nice defender, but is smaller than most players he guards. He also can't shoot the 3ball consistantly which hurts.

Conner is a great shooter who you can't leave open, but I really haven't seen him hurt the opponent anywhere else on the court.

Meyer is going to be a very good player for him but this is a learning year for him.

Lipscomb is very good shooter and drives very well, he isn't a great finisher though and doesn't shoot FT extremely well either for such a good shooter.

 

They do have some nice players though and will be fine, but aren't at top 5 9th Region team.

 

You make very good points here. So what would you in this situation? Is it time to make 2 of the starting Sr's role players and develop a team or just keep letting these guys play and start over next year. This is where a young coach struggles isn't it? What are your thoughts?

Since your last few posts everyone is aware of you're obvious bias against everything NCC.

Why did NCC not play a game in between the All A Classic and Tuesday? Were they that over confident that they would win the All A Regional?

You're only allowed to play so many regular season games and why not believe your going to win the All A. It doesn't hurt to have a week off anyway in the middle of the season. Their record is 12-7 overall, I'm not sure about 2008. I heard 7-4 somewhere.l

First of all, Giesler might just be OK, but he's as good as any other big man in the region and in the right offense can be very effective. With NCC's personnel I would like to see them spread their offense out. Did anyone watch Duke last night? That is fun to watch. Pangallo is good enough to get around his man and drive to the basket to dish out for a three to Lipscomb, Conner,or Meyer or down low to Giesler,Beiting, M. Giesler or Ollberding.

I have to respectfully disagree with overachieve. NCC has good players but it doesn't loook like they play to their strengths.

Break it down just a bit;

Pangallo yes he's small but has handles and can pass get more aggressive with him and make people stop him, right now you don't have to gaurd him.

Lipscomb shoots well with a slow release so why doesn't he get the ball sooner coming off a hard screen?

Connor same as above with a quick release.

Beiting good slasher strong should set picks and get 10 garbage ppg. Works very hard.

Geisler only seems to play hard when scoring?Could get 20 on pick and rolls but won't pick and can't face up so they play behind him all night? Set the hard pick, play in and out with the 2 shooters and he'll score plenty. NCC has a good team but they just can't find it yet. They're a fun team to watch.

I disagree, he's nice big body. Not great rebounder and his skills on the post are average.

 

Zach Dedden had his number all night in the All A.

Any Earls of Boone is better with.

Luke Mace Dixie is better.

Micah Pugh of Conner is better.

Tate Nichols of Ryle is better.

Arron Noll of CovCath is better.

I believe your alound 30 regular season games. If they would have won the All A state they would be at 30. But here is my point. Every team in the All A, even St. Henry and Holy Cross schedule games, usually against each other or other A schools and then if they win the ALL A region they can cancel those games and head to EKU. St. Henry was scheduled to play Holy Cross but it was cancelled.
