Who is the Beach kid? What year?

 

Devontae is currently a freshman...he's big kid, around 220 Lbs. Played FB for the freshmen team.

Quick offensive linemen. I think X is moving away from the Hanibal's elephants approach. I think that will help. And, I agree w/ 157 about using the TE as more than an extra tackle.

You have 5 sophomores on this team who could start for just about any varsity team in the state of Kentucky. Loehnert, Hayden, Bickel, Beach and Hall. St. X normally will dress some sophomores but they usually don't see much time at the varsity level due to the depth of the program. Beach will probably start, the other kids mentioned should see considerable time especially late in games. Is Luke Brohm staying at QB? Thats another sophomore we can't forget about.

What about La'mount McMurray, who was also a freshman RB last season? I thought he was as good as Hayden.

Personally, I think the Tigers are loaded for bear in 2008. The only position of concern that I have is at linebacker. It's awfully hard to replace Heuser, Hilt, Combs, and Devine. I haven't seen anyone as yet on the current squad who I feel is ready to step into their shoes.

Luke Brohm and Brian Brohm are first cousins. Luke's father is Oscar's brother.

Lamont McMurray actually "started" more game than Jay Hayden. IMHO, they were pretty much interchangeable, but Jay had a little more burst in the open field.
