We had the better team when we played Rowan Co last week....we all know how that turned out

 

I thought Rowan County won this game:confused:

 

The better team does not always win the game.

Then you don't think there is such a thing as a home court advantage?

 

I will not get into that, just stating that despite playing on a schools home floor doesn't guarantee a win. The better team on a given day wins on that day. That is all I am saying. Deming was upended by St. Patrick at Deming in tournament play Monday night. Just using as an example that is all.

On that night is the key words... There's no excuses that GRC lost to Rowan Co. fair and square.. but can a team not have a bad game? They beat the same Rowan team in a Christmas tourny by 22. But back to the topic of this thread....

Of course it doesn't guarantee a win. But it sure doesn't hurt. Why do pro teams only rest their starters after they have clinched home court advantage? It helps a lot. In the NBA where teams play an even # of home and away games the home team has a record of 360-256.

Also I was not at the game nor am I a Clark County fan but I must say that the best team on a certain night doesn't always win. There could be injuries, illness, suspensions, terrible calls, terrible coaching, an off night shooting, a bad game plan, the other team shooting the lights out, etc. that is why we have upsets in basketball.

We are at the point in the season where leadership plays a huge role.

 

I hope to see a leader emerge fro MC from this game on Friday. Somebody has to step up and be the go to player....and he must deliver.

I would say that in the NBA all teams are supposed to be created equal since the player are paid! How can you compare that to high school teams that must play the kids that attend their school? That home court really helped the royals last year didn't it?
