Ludlow 62 St. Henry 54 9th Region All "A"

Recommended Posts

Very good win for Ludlow. Ludlow was up by 3 at half, and 3 after the third quarter. Then just really took over in the 4th. Ludlow got up by as many as 15 in the 4th quarter. It was a really good all around game for Ludlow. Ashley Daughtery had 21 points. Julie Hardin had 11, Michelle had 12, Chelsea Clary had 5 points, Brook Jones had 5 points, and 8th grader Hannah King had 6 points.

Ludlow moves on to play the winner of NCC vs. Beechwood in the Semi-Finals...No disrespect to Beechwood, but the winner probably will be NCC. Which will set up a GREAT semi-finals game between Ludlow and NCC, which honestly is pretty much like the Championship game because most likely the winner of the game will win the 9th region...

Good win for Ludlow but St Henry has a bad record on a weak schedule. Beat NCC and you will get more respect. Beat Boone and you will be a force. Good luck and if nothing else you have peaked my curiosity so I will be at the next game.

Where is the Friday game being played?

Before the tournament, people were talking some about how St. Henry is a good team and may win the tournament...

These two teams played less than 2 weeks ago to a one point victory in favor of the Lady Panthers 56-55. Tonight saw a very scrappy St. Henry team, but Ludlow held the Lady Crusaders scoreless until 3:07 left in the first quarter. St. Henry was all over the Lady Panthers looking for any chance for a steal or turnover. Ludlow took a 11-9 lead into the 2nd quarter.

The bank was open for business in the second 8 minutes on back to back three pointers by Michelle Landrum for Ludlow and then on the next possession, Becky Geiger for St. Henry. Ludlow went into halftime up by 3 points, 28-25.

The third quarter really saw neither team want to break the game open. Both teams scored 13 points and still a 3 point lead for Ludlow going into the final 8minutes.

The fourth quarter saw Ludlow come out with an 8 point run to start the period and a 12-3 advantage in the period before St. Henry's Whitney Rolf added 7 more points for the St. Henry total, but Michelle Landrum added 9 for the Lady Panthers who also hit 9 of 15 free throws in the 4th quarter compared to St. Henry's 5 of 8 opportunities in the final frame. The final 62-54 when the buzzer sounded.

I will have to disagree with you with regards to St Henry. Yes they are young this year and they don't have the record that we are used to seeing but they always play a very competitive schedule and more times then not their schedule would be considered a bit more difficult then Ludlows.

It sounds like it was a hard fought game with the better team coming out on top once again. Good luck to the Lady Panthers against NCC.

Your original post indicated that St Henry played a weak SCHEDULE and I disagreed with that part of your post. Boone Cty, Conner, Holy Cross, Holmes, Ryle, Male and yes Ludlow are all quality opponents.

My post with regards to your comments agreed that they were young, inexperienced and somewhat down in comparsions to past years but they are still very competitive IMO.
