Walton-Verona @ Simon Kenton predictions 1/11

Featured Replies

Getting back to the topic. I've seen both teams play and I don't believe that guard play will be the difference. The difference in this game will come down to whether WV can some what control the inside game of SK. If they can't then it is going to be a long nite for the bearcats. But, even if they can do a decent job of defending the post, they will still have to make perimeter shots. Walton will have to play very well and Simon might need to have a little hickup for Walton to win. The best part is, this time tomorrow we will know for sure.

I agree. The inside game may hurt Walton and they will have to shoot the lights out.

Seriously? R u saying he's the only scorer on the team. Please catch a game sometime, or at least check the paper for the box scores. Yes, the kid can play ball. But to beat SK (or any team for that matter), it's gotta be team ball. Especially when you've got team members who can play. WV has more than 1!

....

Agreed!

I agree with your earlier breakdown of the game. Both teams have been on a roller coaster ride. I think Maegley will be an issue for WV, and Nate is quick!

As for respect, it's not a given in my book - it must be earned.

Good luck DubV

Sk in a blow-out for sure, let's get serious Sk should blow-out everyone in their district. I can't understand as far as the Regions go how you can have 3 Kenton County high schools that probably aren't 5 miles apart play in 3 different Regions. Someone with authority needs to rectify this problem. I know the 9th region is tough but so what all three high schools should still be in the 9th region.

I totally agree. 3 different regions? You gotta be kidding!

Heard Barnes can shoot lights out if he gets hot. I'll take SK by 22.

I can shoot "lights out" when I get hot, too. So can you when you "get hot".

I totally agree. 3 different regions? You gotta be kidding!

Just think if they all won!!!!!:ylsuper: I believe Kenton is the only County that could send 3 teams to the State Tournament.

True, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

SK by a lot. they play more as a team and do what they're supposed to do!

There's more than 1 leading scorer on that team, and when the ball gets passed around some, WV wins. the team will 'click' once he learns that it takes more than 1 to win the game. SK realized that 2 yrs ago, Beechwood wanted no part of it, when will WV do something about it?

....

Everyone is entitled to their thoughts, providing they are within the Rules. All this bashing each other, is getting extremely old.

This one is done and everyone needs to revisit the Rules.
