I just wanted to say congratulations to Junior Ashley Daughtery of Ludlow for scoring her 1000th career point last night in a game against St. Henry. She needed 16 points going into the game to get 1000 points, and she ended up getting in the 1st half on a layup. She ended up with 26 points and 11 rebounds in the game. Ashley Daughtery is definitely the best player in the conference, and one of the top players in the whole 9th region. I also want to mention that Ashley Daughtery has a really good shot at breaking the schools all time scoring record next year during her senior season.

 

I know I mentioned this in the Ludlow vs. St. Henry thread. But after thinking about it, I thought this one deserved its own thread, since not many people probably got into that thread and read how she has scored over 1000 points for her career now. So I just want to say congratulations one more time to Ashley for scoring her 1000th career point. I think I heard she was only the 5th person in school history to have done this.

Congratulations on an outstanding accomplishment. Only a Junior from what I understand so she should leave Ludlow with a chance to move near the top of Ludlows all-time scoring list I would imagine. Does anyone know who Ludlows all-time leader might be?

I know Ashley joins Kassi Wofford and Abby Froehle in Ludlow's 1000 point club, but I don't think either one of those girls holds the school's all-time scoring record. I'm not sure who the leading scorer is. I'm pretty sure it is someone that had the record long before I started following Ludlow basketball.
