Agreed. I see BC having 10-15 at the half. If brossart could only muster 25 and they pounded BC i really doubt that the Polar Bears will start to score more than a random layup here and there until most of the starters sit.

When the discussion of Campbell County's schedule came up on a previous thread I did some research and came up with the following information. That thread was subsequently closed so I will move my findings here:

 

There are many mandated games on the Camels schedule. They do have to play the NKAC Division I schedule, and because of district seeding must play each team in the 37th District.

 

The NKAC teams provide good competition - they are: Holmes, Boone County, Covington Catholic, Conner, Simon Kenton, Scott, Dixie Heights, and Ryle

 

The District schools that they must play are: Scott (NKAC and 37th Dist), Calvary Christian, Silver Grove, and Bishop Brossart.

 

They participated in the Bluegrass-Buckeye Charity Classic and were assigned to play Lexington Christian.

 

They played in the Gateway Holiday Classic at Montgomery County where they faced Greenup County, Montgomery County, and Johnson Central.

 

They are long time participants in the MCIT where they played Harrison County and Montgomery County.

 

They chose to play in the "Colt Classic" at West Jessamine where they will play Tates Creek.

 

The remaining "independent" games that they choose to play are: Bourbon County, Newport, Bracken County, Pendleton County (twice), Mason County, St. Patrick, and Harrison County.

 

So in effect if you put the Camels schedule under the microscope and determine weak schedule or strong schedule you must base it on the "Colt Classic" game and the "independent" games that they play. Remember also that most games are under multiple year contracts and that scheduling games with desired opponents is not as easy as picking up the phone and calling them. Each school has schedule constraints that restrict how many "independent" games they can play. The "A" schools have the additional scheduling responsibility to the "A" Classic games.

 

GRC (Clark County) is the only notable 10th Region contender that I see missing from the Camel lineup and NCC and Highlands are the only other top 9th Region schools that I would attempt to get on the schedule, replacing possibly St. Patrick, Bracken County, and/or possibly one of the Pendleton County games.

This is a down year for Bracken County but I don't think you question the scheduling of them by Campbell County. These 2 are former district foes so it's not surprising that they play. As for the game the long season continues for the boys in B-ville, the Camels are just too talented. There could be a win on the horizon soon for the Polar Bears just won't happen against Campbell County.
