Final. A text from Ashley Daughtery to my daughter last night:

"got my 1000th tonight!" Way to go Ashley!!!!:dancingpa

Anyone there that has details from the game?

Wow. Sounds like this would have been a great game to watch. I'd be interested in hearing some game details too.

I think Ludlow and St. Henry match up in the first round of the All "A", so I am hoping that Ludlow can beat St. Henry again real soon in the tournament.

Great to hear that Ashley scored her 1000th point. Wish I could have been there to see it.

Congratulations to Ashley Daughtery on an outstanding achievement. In following her numbers this year in the box scores it appears she is having an outstanding year and should be considered the frontrunner for Player of the Year in her Division.

With the win the night before against Villa and this win over St Henry it appears that Coach Stamm is finding the right combinations of players for another very successful year.

Congratulations to the Panthers and once again to Ms Daughtery.

Great win last night by the Lady Panthers! Ludlow was up by a margin of around 6 to 8 points for most of the second half, and St. Henry went on a late run in the last 2 minutes of the game to make it an exciting finish.

I want to congratulate Ashley Daughtery on getting her 1000th point. She needed 16 points going into the game to get that 1000th point, and she ended up scoring 19 in the first half of the game to get the 1000th point. She ended up with 28 points and 11 rebounds. She is definitely the best player in the conference, and one of the best in whole region.

As for the game, this was one of the better all around games Ludlow has played all year. They actually seemed to put two halfs together for the first time all year that I have seen. Each player stepped up and made big plays at different times of the game. Chelsea Clary for Ludlow ended up having a real big play for Ludlow at the end. With about 2:30 to go in the game, she grabbed a offensive rebound and put it back in for a basket. That basket ended up being the game winning points for Ludlow, because Ludlow did not score again after that. It really was just a great game by all the Ludlow players, because as I said each player stepped up and made some big plays for the team. I know I look forward to the rematch in the All "A" and hope Ludlow can win that one as well.

he seems like the panthers are off to a great start.chelsea clary seeems like she has came up big the LAST 2 WEEKS.i never hear her name it is nice to see her get some credit well deserved.keep it rolling panthers and chelsea congraulations for doing your job and helping the panthers win...

Ludlow started off the game with Ashley Daugherty shooting (and making) two technical foul shots as a result of St. Henry not having all of their starters designated properly in the scorebook. St. Henry played catch up for the rest of the game. The first half was a full court game with both teams pressing and as a result the half time score was 40-36 in Ludlow's favor. The 2nd half was more of a half court game and hence the final score of 56-55. St. Henry was able to answer Ludlow's scoring bursts, but could never get the lead. St. Henry had a 15 foot baseline jumper with approximately 4 seconds to go, but it was off the mark. The game was poorly officiated from both teams perspective. Ashley Daugherty was definitely the difference maker for Ludlow. She was unstoppable down low. If St. Henry had shot a decent percentage on their foul shots, they could have won the game.

From what I was told by a couple people that attended the game St Henry went to the foul line 27 times to Ludlow 9 times. Seems a little lopsided especially when you consider Ludlow was the home team. It's not supposed to matter but believe me when I tell you most refs know where they are and more times then not the home team tends to go to the foul line more then the visiting team. One source told me that St Henry leaned and pushed Daughtery all night long and she never got any calls in her favor. From what I have heard she normally goes to the line about 12-15 times a game and shoots about 75% so it sounds as if the refs may have struggled a bit to say the least.

2 good wins in a row over Villa and St Henry on consecutive nights so congrats to Coach Stamm and the Panthers.

And all of this as a junior. Wow!!

I have heard that she has a really good shot at breaking the schools all time scoring record next year during her senior year.

Congrats to Ashley and the Lady Panthers. Good luck in the Class A.

As long as she stays healthy, I definitely see her breaking the record.

Also a very nice article in the Monday Enquirer about the Landrum girl from Ludlow. Sounds like a great girl who has overcome some obstacles in her life to be a very well rounded student/athlete. She gives a lot of credit to Coach Stamm and it is obvious that his players respect him and play hard for him. He appears to be building a very nice program at Ludlow and with that comes some much deserved recognition for himself, his players, his school and the entire Ludlow community. Apparently he does things right and he is watching it pay dividends for the girls program at Ludlow.

Congrats Ms Landrum and to Coach Stamm on a very nice article.
