Fleming County 63 Deming 56

Featured Replies

Aren't Demings "freshman" close to, if not already 16 years old?

If memory serves me correctly, I believe the freshmen you are referring to turn 16 in April.

Wow, it looks like Fleming is playing very well together as a team. Instead of last year when their team averaged around 1 assist per game. Three people scoring double figures.. i will take that any day. Deming is very competetive. They do not give up no matter what happens. But it just seems to me like they only want two people to get the ball and when they do coach lets them do whatever. My opinion though.

Yeah i couldnt agree more.. These boys have worked hard and played well together all year. They have improved a lot since last year

No matter how many games the boys from fleming win they never seem to get any credit... I think they are doing a great job for such a young and upcoming team

I just dont see where they are that good.

As FCJ21 means they are better than last year. The record for their last years team was 7-23. They also had four seniors on the team at that time. Now they are only playing sophmores and freshman. Not much size now either. I think there tallest person on there is maybe 6-3. And with not much size and exsperience they are able to compete with teams this year.

Last year They got beat by 40 by both Rowan and St. Pat. Now thwey have beat St. Pat once and lost to Rowan only by Eight. I think they are good. But not great.

The games I've watched in the Fleming County gym were well attended; in fact, I was worried that the gym wasn't big enough to hold the fans. Good, loud, enthusiastic atmosphere.

Have things changed with the move to the 16th? Or were the Mason-Fleming games packed because of the geographical and historical rivalry?

Fleming versus Mason WAS always packed. It is easy to have a crowd when you have a good team. The Fieldhouse is crowded when Mason plays a decent team. In years past, when Mason was down a little (97, 98, 99) their games weren't very well attended. It is very easy to jump on a "bandwagon" when your team is doing well. It is the fans who are there in the good times and bad who are few and far between. I do think Fleming County fans were a little disappointed with the move to the 16th. I really think they have a better chance in the 16th (in years to come) than they would've in the 10th. Personally, I think 10th region basketball is just much more fun to watch. Also, I think it would be hard for any team to have to change regions.

Number 10 for Fleming, I can't remember his name, but he is that really fast point guard for them. If I am not mistaken, he is only a freshmen. He will be a HECK of a ball player some day. He is already one great point guard. He will only get much much better with athleticism and speed.

Number 10 is Preston Dugan. He is playing really well right now.

This only happened because that game was played In Fleming Co. Anywhere else they wont be St. Pat. Congrats to Fleming Co.

Does Fleming County play the Devils at Deming?

No.

What year is he?

Sophmore just like all the other starters

No.

I just would like to see Deming play Fleming at home or even on a neutral court.

Same here, couldn't agree more.

Guys you have to put this loss behind you and get ready for a tough game Tues. with St. Pat.

Remember what does not kill you will only make you stronger.
