January 4, 200818 yr I don't know how you can say that. You roll the dice with a draft pick. This guy led a very overachieving Browns team to 10 wins and threw 30+TD's. He's 6'6 and can move. He's got egos like Winslow, Edwards etc that LOVE him. It's not a crapshoot with him. He proved himself this year. He proved himself to have value. No way it's big extension and top 5 pick value...
January 4, 200818 yr Author He proved himself to have value. No way it's top 5 pick value... Does a team with a Top 5 pick think he could be worth the value??? Miami?? Atlanta??
January 4, 200818 yr Does a team with a Top 5 pick think he could be worth the value??? Miami?? Atlanta?? You really think Tuna would mortgage the future on him? Maybe his relationship with Romeo leads to that. I just don't see it. Who knows with Atlanta. I wouldn't put it past them to make an awful trade...

January 4, 200818 yr He proved himself to have value. No way it's big extension and top 5 pick value... I'm not saying your wrong but I also don't agree with you when you say "no way". Picking QB's in the NFL is a crapshoot. He proved himself this year. You can roll the dice but what if you get a Leaf or A. Smith? I just don't think you can say no way. If they let him go and Quinn doesn't work out then it will get REALLY ugly in Cleveland!
January 4, 200818 yr I heard today that Romeo is shopping him. Phil and the Browns are definitely shopping him. Am I in favor of trading DA? Yes and No. It would be great to get back into the first round and select an impact player, but at the same time, there is the fear of the unknown. DA played well for most of this year and had a great statistical season, Can Quinn come in and lead the team? Who knows.

Have you watched him play? He is a STATUE in the pocket. No mobility whatsoever.
January 4, 200818 yr Author Well, 29TDs. But for the next thing you said about him? DA can move? Have you watched him play? He is a STATUE in the pocket. No mobility whatsoever. He can move better than most 6'6 QB's.
January 4, 200818 yr I'm not saying your wrong but I also don't agree with you when you say "no way". Agree. Good QBs are at a premium in the NFL. A player that is 26, coming off a 29 TD, 3800 yard year will definitely have some trade value. That said, DA does make some WEIRD decisions sometimes. He will play great for a stretch making all the right reads and crisp throws..... and then he's like "Oh, there's Kellen in quadruple coverage, I'll throw it to him"
January 4, 200818 yr He can move better than most 6'6 QB's. ???? DA has little to no mobility. Big Ben, he is a 6'5-6'6 QB with mobility. Not Derek Anderson.
January 4, 200818 yr Author ???? DA has little to no mobility. Big Ben, he is a 6'5-6'6 QB with mobility. Not Derek Anderson. DA doesnt have roots in the ground. You can roll him out of the pocket and he is quick enough to get out of the pocket if needed. Big Ben has little to no speed, not giving DA enough credit here.
January 4, 200818 yr Big Ben has mobility and he is constantly buying time and making a play. DA, IMO, DOES have roots in the ground. He is RARELY rolled out. Think about the 25 yard run against KC in overtime last year, it was the worst looking run I've ever witnessed.
January 4, 200818 yr . Big Ben has little to no speed, not giving DA enough credit here. He showed plenty of speed tallying up a 30 yard TD run against us in their house, breaking our backs.

Think about the 25 yard run against KC in overtime last year, it was the worst looking run I've ever witnessed. He got 25 yards instead of just 5 or 6. I am not saying he is going to beat anyone to the sidelines or has Mike Vick speed but he has enough to be effective at times.
January 4, 200818 yr I've got the clip (I think) on my computer at my house. I'll post it tonight. Goofiest looking run ever.
