A couple of tough games for the Eagles.

They played host Ashland tough, and then crushed Pendleton County, and fell in OT yesterday.

Keep the heads up Eagles...you are getting better.

It was East Carter defeating Scott at the AIT not West Carter. Can mod correct please. Drew Johnson big for East with 23 points and Colt Barnhill double double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Scott a very tough opponent with penetrating drives to the basket and good defense. Had East down by about 15 at one point but East made huge effort in 4th quarter to tie game at buzzer and pulled away in OT. Scott much better than their record indicates - well coached team that really plays hard.

I am suprised in this score. Someone posted that East Carter would win the whole tourney. I though they would make a better showing than they did.

They went 2-1 in the tourney, that's not a bad showing. Only one team left the tourney with a better record and that was the winner. East goes to 9-3 on the year, a good start to the season for the Raiders.

It sounds like Scott had a decent showing in this tournament and maybe showing signs of improvement. They stand right now at 3-7 and have a tough schedule the rest of the way.

Thanks. East has potential this year to be a good 16th region team, but is not even close to being able to compete with teams like tournament winner GRC. GRC VERY IMPRESSIVE! East needs to improve in every phase of the game if they want to be a factor come tournament time.
