Great ball game to listen to, 7 ties and 16 lead changes !

Raceland held a 9 pt. lead at the end of the 1st half in this one. East opened the 2nd half with a 12-2 run I believe and then it was back and forth the rest of the way.

Raceland held a 5 pt. lead with 4 minutes to go.

Congrats to East Carter on the Win, they made the plays they had to down the stretch.

The Raiders will play Fairview tommorrow night in the Derby classic Championship game.

Rams killed themselves at the free throw line. The few times they got there , they didnt shoot them well.

I would like to say again how good of a radio broadcast the Go Radio crew puts out.

Those guys are VERY good, respectful to both teams and players. They also had some great "one liners" along the way, I was cracking up laughing at a few of them....... "He was riding him like a Wal-Mart pony", on a non-call by an official - "Ray Charles could have called that one", "He ran though a harware store and he got hammered", on a 3sec. call.."he was in the lane so long he got a ups delievery", "The fat lady ain't singing but I can hear her gargle"......

This imo is the way a radio broadcast should be. Very knowlegable, informative, respectful and entertaining.

Great job guys! :thumb:

You only got one thing wrong......Raceland didn't win, try and work on that will ya? :D.

The radio said they was 12 of 22 from the line. Some of the calls was very strange, can not believe only one player fouled out with all the fouls called in this game.

:thumb::thumb: I beleive that he two officials in this one were trying for and should make the all tournament team :D.

That is not meant to sound like I am saying they were bias against Raceland bc I am a Raceland fan and the Rams lost. From what I could tell and from the way I heard it on the radio they were calling it extremely tight BOTH ways. No excuses here, we just got beat - East made the plays they had to down the stretch and we didn't.

So, which was it? Bad free-throw shooting or not enough trips to the charity stripe?

Does anyone in the know on the Raceland side of things know anything about J. Sparks? Was said on the radio broadcast that he had went down with what appreared to be a shoulder injury. Sparks did return to the game though.

I was just wondering what it was?

What makes you believe this?

That's pretty impressive judgement for someone who was not at the game and a unique concept for voting for the All Tournament team.

Thanks so much, sir! I LOVE my job and I hope it shows when I broadcast high school games. I do what I do to promote the kids and try to be entertaining in the process. I do appreciate you tuning in and for the kind words once again! By the way, did you listen on the radio or on the internet?

Tim

P.S. Can't do much to help you on the win for the Rams, but you have a GREAT coach in Scott Floyd. He is a class act and is doing a great job with those guys!!

Another good win for the Raiders who were playing their 4th game in 4 days. They keep finding ways to win and are off to solid 7-1 start. Let's get one tomorrow night and bring home some hardware from Ramblerland. For the record Springsteen #1 says homecourt is worth 10 points, so this was a 14 point win. Just kidding I couldn't resist, Raceland has a solid team and will make some noise.

:rolleyes:Calm down. It was a joke :D:thumb:, it was said all during the radio broadcast that there was quite a bit of fouls called both ways in this one.

A couple of times I heard something like..." I believe that we have went a minute without a foul called, that has been rare in this one". I don't think that anything derogatory was meant by their statements and there certainly was not by mine.

:thumb: No problem, I try to give props to who and when they are due. I listened to the game on the I-net. I certainly agree on Coach Floyd and East has a very good team and coach in Baker as well. Between him and his dad how long has a Baker been at the helm at ECHS? They should rename the school "Bakersville High" :D

Thank you oldrambler for the jokkingly manner, I am always quick to defend officials for what they try to do.

I think we often take our frustrations in life out on them for doing a thankless job and this holiday season they are spending more time getting screamed at and less time with their family's.

Good luck oldrambler and I hope you, all student athletes, school admininstrators and the refs have a very merry CHRISTmas.

P.S. GO Radio is the best in the Business.
