Week 11 @ 5A Johnson Central

Belfry can't avoid playing Holy Cross in the season opener due to contracts established by the Pike County Bowl. Pikeville is a rivalry game.

Bell County will be an excellent early season test against a Top 5 team in 4A. Bell was 12-1 this season with their only loss coming to eventual state champion LexCath.

Letcher Central is an up and coming 5A team that is only about an hour away. The Cougars should ahve an excellent team returning from this year's 11-2 campaign.

Parkersburg is the elite program in West Virginia 3A football, their enrollment would equate to a 6A school in Kentucky.

Johnson Central also is a rising program on the 5A scene and a very short drive.

I feel this schedule would really test Belfry, while limiting the ammount of money needed to travel to the games. It also produces a couple games that Belfry SHOULD win (Pikeville, Holy Cross, LCC), a couple toss-up games (Johnson Central, Bell County) and a game Belfry would be the prohibitve underdog in (Parkersburg). I wish Holy Cross could be replaced with another team that Belfry would be the underdog against.
