I will let someone else post the matchups they have had in the past and while I think Hogan and Flair brought wrestling to the point that Undertaker and Austin could have the success they have, I can fully understand and agree why these two are in the finals.

 

My opinion/thoughts on each.

 

Undertaker, may be the greatest wrestler ever. Add in the high level of storylines and wrestling for the length that he had. Slightly altered his character and had success with the altering that Hogan couldn't as Hollywood.

 

Big Man with the agility to do things that others couldn't. His finishing moves are devastating finishing moves and not some pansy finishing move. They look devastating.

 

His music intimidates immediatly with the deep gong sounds.

 

Great character, great ability to tell a story to lead up to the match and great in ring work.

 

As I said previously, the winner of what might be the greatest single wrestling match of all time, Hell in the Cell with Mick Foley.

 

 

Stone Cold is like Ric Flair in that his WWE character never really changed. He stayed the same type of person and the storyline only made him a heel or face. He still did the same thing. Stunnering people.

 

His feuds with Vince McMahon are simply classic storylines that are some of the best in wrestling history.

 

His finishing move is also devstating looking.

 

His mic work is 2nd to none. And his ability to pop the crowd with the sound of glass breaking is classic.

 

I will leave the poll open till Tuesday night cause for me, this is a supremely hard choice.

 

I love Steve Austin as Stone Cold but when I truly look at Undertaker and what he has accomplished in a longer career than Stone Cold, I can't decide who I am voting for.

Austin brought wrestling back. I love the 'Taker but I have to go with Stone Cold.

While I agree with all the comments that will be made about Austin, his run was just too short.

 

UT has been doing this for what 20 years now. And been at the top the entire time. Carrying the load when the Rock left, Angle left, Hogan left, came back and left again, Austin was sent packing because of injuries, Foley retired, HBK left and then came back.

 

UT has been the mainstay throughout.

These two, along with Hogan, get the fans going crazy as soon as their songs start.

As bad as I hated to I voted for Taker...

 

This was such a tough choice as I love both Characters...

 

I like Austin on the Mic and Taker In the Ring

Interesting that all four of the final four had very distinctive first sounds of their music. You could identify their entrance about 1-2 seconds into their entrance music.

Just like the 15th anniversary episode of Raw, Stone Cold will be the last man we see in the tourny.

 

The match ends with a pin after not 1, not 2, but 3 stunners. After the match Austin does none other than Stone Cold beers while celebrating on the ropes, meanwhile in the middle of the ring it happens. UT raises from the dead. As Austin gets down off the ropes he turns into a chokeslam, but the match is already over.

Yeah, thats a good point. I guess it is more of my own personal feelings toward the others.

Well I'll say this. I don't watch wrestling anymore but when I did Stone Cold was the man to watch. He was a rebel and didn't care about what anyone thought. I mean he brought a beer truck into the arena and sprayed down The Rock and Vinny Mac. No one could control him.

 

With the Undertaker I just never really liked him. I never was a fan of the whole characters changing their tune. I mean really The Undertaker went from a devil worshiping man to a Biker and back to the worshiper. I mean really...... And wasn't the Undertaker and Kane supposed to be brothers at some point a long time ago???

 

 

With all that being said Stone Cold was the one everyone wanted to be like in the 90's. They all had the rattlesnake t-shirts and everything followed with "And that's the bottom line..."

I thought the feud they had back in the late 90's that cultimated with the "Highway to Hell" match at Summerslam was one of the greatest ever. Undertaker walks the rope and as he comes down on SCSA, Steve landed the stunner out of nowhere.

 

Just a great, great match.
