Crittenden County was overrated at the start of the season, then everyone forgot about them after the early-season turmoil. They may have been very underrated by the end of the season.

1. Fulton City- finally brought Mayfield back down to Earth after being on the mountain for decades.

2. Trigg Co.- started off hot and fizzled quick. Lost in the first round of the playoffs which has been rare for them as of late.

3. Lone Oak- jack haskins created a miracle by taking his team to the state championship game. Wayne Lohaus from Fulton city also deserves just as much mention for what he accomplished at Fulton City, who's enrollment isn't even above 200 i don't think.

4. Graves/Marshall- I went to this game and Graves just never went away and never gave up. They finally took the lead with under a minute left and Marshall's kicker didn't have enough leg on a game-winning field goal.

5. Lone Oak- IMO, i think you can argue with these numbers, but only slightly. I just wish we could have seen what this offense was capable of against a competitive schedule. I would have liked to see them play teams like Mayfield, Tilghman, marshall, ft. Campbell, Hopkinsville, christian Co, Graves.........

6. Ft. Campbell- I really don't think there is any dispute here. this is what carried them to the title game, and they won the freakin thing too!!

7. Mayfield- goodbye Tommy McNutt........

8. Alan Williams- when a guy his size puts up the numbers he did against a 6A schedule...my hat is off to him. Corey Robinson obviously deserves mention too.

9. Ft. Campbell- hail the state champs!!

10. Hmmm....- Lone Oak playing in the state championship game. Who'd a thunk it!?!?!?
