I gotta go with the Saints. But I can't under-estimate Augusta.

Wow, we were all way off......St Patrick 71, Augusta 26 according to the LI. Ouch!Although, the story is chopped up. It says it continues on page A8 when it actually continues on A11 and it seems some of the story is missing.

Really why would you need a two page story on a 71-26 score. I am glad I didn't take the time to turn the page.

Was this score ran up?

From what I hear most of the starters were out for the second half. The fourth quarter was all JV and some 8th graders.

Good.. I hope no coach would run the score up on a less talented team.

I heard the score could have been worse but the Saints spent the last half of the fourth quarter feeding the ball to a few players who are less experienced and will not get much playing time so they could shoot and hopefully get in the books. So there were a lot of open shots that were passed off to other players to let them shoot.

 

And as far as the LI article being cut off I was only remarking that the last sentence on the sports page just ends abruptly, I wasn't insinuating that they need a two page story, just remarking that I thought the paper made a mistake with the layout.

The LI story finishes on the next page, as does the Deming/Campbell story. It's just a mistake that says "See page 8" instead of 11.

Not a whole lot of fire-power for the Augusta squad this season!!!!
