Patriots 27 Ravens 24

Check out penalties for the entire game.

Yes, and if they'd have called them all it would have been worse. :thumb:

You have to wonder if the Ravens roster weren't under the undue influence of all these INTENSE Miami guys that they would play a lot more disciplined. The four penalties at the end were legit. Factor those out and it doesn't really look like that much of a disparity.

I may be wrong here, correct me if I am, but I think Balt. had 100 yards worth of penalties and the Pats had like 35 or 40. Now didnt 30 yards come at the very end when Bart Scott threw the flag? If so, thats only 70 yards to the pats 35-40. Not THAT big of a difference.

I wanted to see the Pats get beat as well. I am not that upset however due to the fact that it was the Ravens. I want to see the Pats lose but as I have always said...my favorite NFL team is whoever is playing the Ravens on a paticular week.:D

No coincidence, but it also isn't a coincidence that they won both those games despite the great efforts from those teams. They are flat-out better than everyone else. They have shown they be forced to play bad, and still win.

With a ton, ton of luck at the end. That shows you are flat-out better than everyone else?

It's not their fault those teams can't seal the deal. If you give them the opportunity to make a play, they're going to do it. They took the best game the Eagles or Ravens have and will play all year, and still won, while not playing very well themselves. They are flat-out more talented and better than anyone else.

OR what do the Pats have to do for you to admit they are a great team? Beat everyone by 3 touchdowns? Never have to punt the ball? Never allow a 100 yard rusher? Im serious what do they have to do for you to give them credit? If they do happen to go 19-0 then would you give them credit?

All of the "They have proven they are the best team in the league by far" talk gets me worked up. They haven't won anything yet. Didn't the Colts start off 13-0 a few seasons ago or something? The Pats are the best team in the NFL right now, I've said that before, is that not giving them credit? The gap is a lot closer than many of you believe though.

It would probably take two hands for me to count the number of times I saw the Patriots receivers either held, tackled, hit before the ball arrived, etc...with no flags. To me, that is getting breaks. Maybe it's just me...

For about the last month, I've seen the Patriots receivers get held or interfered with numerous times with no calls, while Randy Moss gets some of the cheapest offensive pass interference calls I've ever witnessed. Derrick Mason tackled a Patriot defender at the end of that game with no flag. It's ridiculous.

And people are trying to say the Patriots are getting breaks from officials. Give me a break...if anything, it's the opposite.

You can complain about the difference in penalty yards all you want, but I've yet to hear anyone point out even one of those calls that was bad. There is no way you can dispute any calls on the last drive...Rex Ryan clearly called a TO, the Pats clearly false started, the WR was clearly held, etc...

It is kinda funny isn't it? They set the standard so high that suddenly close games, not even losses, prove they aren't that great. On the other hand, had they not set the standard so high, everyone would probably be talking about how great they are at winning no matter what the situation.

Like I said, they are the best team in the league until someone proves otherwise in the playoffs. The gap is closer than many think IMO.
