Final. Nice early season win for the Jumpers.:thumb:

Good Job Jumpers!!!! Any stats or info on the game?

Somerset came out with a good game plan and played a good overall game. They led nearly the entire game. Wallen and Price led in scoring with Bourne having an off shooting night but was still in double figures, along with good interior defense. Somerset had little trouble with Owensboro's press and reduced their turnovers a whole lot compared to the Dunbar game. Somerset zoned about all night and it gave Owensboro a lot of trouble. If Somerset comes ready to play their remaining games and continue to improve they will be a force in the 12th this year.

No, I didn't get to go but Somerset had built a 12 point lead when Owensboro rattled them a little with the press. The lead was cut to 4 but Wallen hit a big 3 to ice it.

The final score was 65-57 not 59-52. Either way, great win for the Jumpers, they really played well tonight..

Anybody know how many of Owensboro's players were missing due to football last night. I know Shemwell was a starting guard last season.

O-boro was missing 3 good players....2 because football just ended for them Friday night and one for a team violation. Two of them are returning starters from last season. However Somerset has a nice team. Another O-boro area team , Daviess Co, played before this game and played well. Beat Estill Co 71-49.

Scoring for the Jumpers was pretty well balanced. Wallen 16, Price 14, Bourne 12, Coomer 11, while Kelley, Fitzpatrick and Dockery all had 4 points. For the game I think the Jumpers finished with 18 assists but also had around 18 turnovers for the game as well. They shot over %50 percent from the field, and dont know the free throw totals but I do know they made them towards the end to ice the game. About all the stats I got

Good win for the Briar Jumpers. They also played well in a 71-64 loss to Dunbar on friday night.
