All due respects to the fine folks from Cadiz, but the clock will be running continuously for Metcalfe by the end of the 3rd quarter.

About 1/2 way thru the season, I would have picked Trigg, but, after the way they ended the regular season and with some key injuries, I think Metcalfe will take this one. I don't think it'll be a blowout though...

Dont know much about Trigg.. so i'll take Metcalfe by 2 touchdowns..

now THAT is a bold statement. A lot was made of Trigg's three-game losing streak but I don't think Metcalfe County had a three-game stretch like that. If they did, it would have consisted of Green County, Corbin, and Warren East. I didn't see that on the schedule. They did play a good Somerset team, but it wasn't in consecutive weeks. The three-game stretch allowed Trigg to work on their faults, which they have seemed to have corrected in the last few weeks.

I think the bus ride will have some effect. Yes, Metcalfe has made the long trip before but that was two years ago and they lost to Mayfield 34-0.

I'm looking forward to seeing Warf and DeLeon play for Metcalfe. If Trigg plays like they did in the second half against Heath, there may not be 20 points scored in the game by either team.

Bold, but not intended as disrespectful. I have seen Metcalfe live and Trigg on film. I just don't think Trigg matches up well. I think Metcalfe can smell a title bid, they are rolling. Apparently, the Green Co. game was like a festival and Metcalfe was breathing fire. Warf and Deleon arein the zone right now. Metcalfe was in an extremely tough district and played good non-district competition. I don't think Trigg can say the same.

I believe saying that Metcalfe will only score 13 points is a bold statement in itself. I understand you think Trigg will win.. but if they do, it'll be a higher scoring game then 14-13. What type of team is Trigg? Are they a pass or run team?

Just curious, you are already making predictions about the game, and THEN you ask what kind of team Trigg Co. is?? Shouldn't you already know that if you are predicting the outcome of the game?? They did hit a big slump this year, but they are talented nonetheless.....they beat decent Hopkinsville and Calloway Co. teams and Caldwell Co. gave them a run for their money. I just don't think they are a team to be overlooked. Metcalfe Co. is very tough. It seems like they have the edge, but it should be a good game. Trigg is no slouch.

Trigg played Hopkinsville, Christian County, Fort Campbell, and Calloway County. I'd say their non-district schedule was as good if not better than Metcalfe's. I do agree that Metcalfe is playing well right now. Trigg will have to play their A+ game to beat them. But, they do have an A+ game which is why I think it will be close.

Trigg is a 70-30 run to pass team. They have started to throw the football a little more in recent weeks, like they have done in past years. They have a two-year starter at quarterback who, like Warf, is accurate and only has three interceptions all season. Two backs approaching 1,000 yards. Good athletes. They probably resemble Glasgow with the athletes but throw more.

Is there a rule saying that I cant make a predicition until I know everything about both teams? No I dont believe so. I dont see Trigg being any better then Green County.. and you saw how that game turned out. Thats why I asked Scribe what kind of team Trigg was.. I am trying to get more information.

I think Trigg's ticket to win this game would be their throwing game. I dont know what it is, but Metcalfe's run defense the last two games has been incredible. Glasgow ended the first half with - yards rushing.. and this years Glasgow team has been the best since my senior year (Class of 2005, 2004 Football season). If this gets into a throwing festival, this game might last until midnight. lol :D

I think anything can happen on any night. Is Fort Campbell better than Trigg? Yes. 52 points better? Not consistantly. Is Caldwell better than Trigg? Not really. If they play 10 times, Trigg wins six. And they sure aren't 27 points better. I said all along that lack of big game experience would hurt Green County. This group of players are in the playoffs for the first time ever and once you get past the first round, the screws tighten considerably. I think the six turnovers showed that. To use an analogy Metcalfe is familiar with, Metcalfe to Green this year is what Mayfield has been to Metcalfe the last two.

I dont think you can say that quite yet... Green was the favorite in last nights game with Metcalfe and Metcalfe came into their house and absolutely blew them away. Mayfield was always the favorite vs. Metcalfe in years past. Both teams that beat Metcalfe in the reg. season this year, Metcalfe dismantled them in the playoffs. Metcalfe is on a mission, and I personally think it'll take the likes of Fort Campbell to stop them. And even then it wont be a cakewalk for FC.

I meant the analogy in terms of playoff experience.
