All Play No Work Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Juggs put up 34. Holy cross allowed 0 tonight. Something gives next week in the playoffs.
THEDUDEABIDES Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 I think now is the point in the season when Ludlow has to realize that another win is just NOT in the cards and start to prepare for next season and on how they can improve on this season.
Juggs Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Great game JUGGS! :dancingpa Time to get ready for the tribe! The entire team played well tonight. Now is the time to show everyone how good you can be. Great game seniors. Let this week be the best week of practice this year and continue to win.
Devjug Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 This was a fun game to watch! I think everyone got some playing time in the 4th qtr. Get ready for HC now! :fight: Does anyone have a link for ch 22? I saw their news van but wasn't able to find their site.....
futurecoach Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I think now is the point in the season when Ludlow has to realize that another win is just NOT in the cards and start to prepare for next season and on how they can improve on this season. Why? I would be completely embarrassed of the Ludlow program if they did this. Yes I mean it sure looks like the season is definitely over after this play Beechwood in the playoffs. However it is still the playoffs, and if you start preparing for next season, you are saying that you have given up on these kids. That is not fair at all for the seniors on the team, if Ludlow was to decide to just start preparing for next season. I know I would lose a lot of respect for the program that I played for if they did this or do this. Now if they weren't going to be in the playoffs, I could have seen them doing it. However even though it is Beechwood, it is the playoffs, and as a coach you should try to do WHATEVER you can to put your team in the best possible position to win, and well this is the playoffs so there is no more important time to win than now... I really do not know your reasoning for getting any every Ludlow thread and instead of just talking about the game, you talk about the program. First you talk about if Borchers should be back next year, and now say how its obvious they wont win again, so start getting ready for next year. Yes I know you dont like Ludlow, that has been proven along time ago. But you little comments on this situation is getting very old...So yes I completely disagree with your little statement about pretty much giving up on this year, and start getting ready for next year, a coach should not EVER do that to a playoff team...
futurecoach Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Ok well now that I got that out, congrats to Lloyd on the win..And good luck against HC next week, I know I really hope you all win, especially with some of the post some HC people have made about how it wont even be close...

If I was Ludlow do not give up on the season. Beechwood is a very good, but beatable team.. If Ludlow excells on the passing game and steps up on defense hopefully they can keep it close and can compete in the fourth quarter.. Good luck panthers..

Panther8404 Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Would the improving sophomore being put in at QB be such a step down and in fact a concession of defeat?
futurecoach Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Would the improving sophomore being put in at QB be such a step down and in fact a concession of defeat? It will be telling your players that yes it is sort of a concession of defeat. Because yes the sophomore Zack has been improving, but he still is not close to what Rouse brings to the table. His teammates also believe in him more than they do Zack. So having him play in the playoff game, which could be the last game of the year for these seniors, IMO is telling the kids we don't care as much about you all now this season, and are more worried about next year...
3kidwill4 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 The coaches already sent the messages to the players that they was playing for next year when they decided to start zack when rouse was 1st hurt. The panthers were 2-2 and insted of starting the most athletic player on the team (grant logan) that was the backup in preseason, they started zack. So the coaches already sent that message!!! So i think they should play the sophomore and let rouse rest and get ready for basketball his best sport.

I mean I know I watched the scrimmage games and well Zack definitely was the backup in the scrimmage games as well, not Grant Logan. In fact I not even sure if Grant was the 3rd option because Scott Dunn was the other one who was in competition for the QB spot once Rouse got hurt. So no the coaches did not send that message at all. And no you do not sit Rouse, I mean it was his choice to come back and play with it, and he is your best option still at QB even with a broken wrist, and well this is the playoffs, you play to win! And to win you put your best players out there, and that would be Rouse. Yeah I mean the chances of Ludlow winning are VERY slim, but you still do whatever you can as a coach to try to win the game! I put up a good example of why you do that in the Ludlow vs. Beechwood thread...

NDIrish03 Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Grant Logn wanted to stay at reciever and was offered to play quarterback, but didn't.
