Assistant Indiana coach at center of recruit calls case resigns

Featured Replies

Show me where there were direct sanctions on this assistant. There was a restriction for the whole staff and then for Sampson directly...

There ya go buddy. Says right in there.

Former Bowling Green head coach Dan Dakich, Indiana's director of basketball operations, will replace Senderoff but not be allowed to recruit on the road or make recruiting-related phone calls.

That's now chief. I'm talking about restrictions on that spot prior to the new problems.

Senderoff, a former assistant at Kent State, was hired by Sampson in May 2006, the same month the NCAA sanctioned Sampson for making 577 impermissible phone calls between 2000-2004 while he was the coach at Oklahoma.

Nobody ever said he had the sanctions prior to. We were saying that his positions had the sanctions now. Don't try to act like you werent arguing that either, remember we could quote some things you have already said about the situation.

Quote away. I misread what you typed and thought you meant the first set of sanctions where those were the restrictions on Sampson...

How do you think the NCAA will react to IU's self imposed sanctions?

Will they accept them or will they try to nail Kelvin Sanctions?
