Here's another oddity.

 

Camels can't kick the ball past the 30 on kickoffs all night including kicking it OB. NCC starts with good field position all night. Second half kickoff goes about 15 yards maybe.

 

Then after they score to go up 20-13 the kicker puts one 6 yards deep in the endzone!! Where was that all night???

You can tell NCC has not played many close games by the way that the managed the clock and play calling down the stretch... same thing happened in the Ryle game

Well more so the clock than the play calling.... when they got down to the 15 with like 1:15 left they really rushed and tried to pass and took a hugh sack... they were very lucky just to get back into field goal range to at least have a try... they should have ran the ball a little bit and kicked it with the clock running out rather than 57 seconds left

Have to agree with that one....they will learn, I thought the whole second half could have been managed better but I still BELIEVE in that staff and this will be a learning lesson for all. Great game!! Tough way to lose...not sure why you would have a block on with that field goal in OT. I would have been happy to go to 2 OT, Oh well.

The Camels have been kicking those all year, those were intentional, not sure why. Some games with an outstanding returner it may be the way to go but last night I did not think it was necessary. The Camels Kyle Neuman can kick it long if called upon. In fact we have several that can kick it deep so that was not the problem. Kicking team needs to shore up its extra point process the delivery is alittle slow and it allows the defense to block the kick. Kicker needs to be moving on the instant the ball hits the holders hand. I am sure that will be fixed for the rest of the games. If we would have made our extra point then OT would not have been necessary, but that can be said for NCC as well.

I keep trying to go to sleep, and the vision of #27 catching the ball keeps me up. How many times did he step up tonight. Austin you are without a doubt the real deal, and young man you are very fun to watch. Best of luck to you and the Camels. You guys have really turned your program around. What a great game to watch. It's one of the most exciting games I've seen in the last 4 years, including our state final games. WOW what a player you have become.

 

Studer is a stud on the football field, I guess he is just following in Brandon Griffins footsteps. I thought Brian Sauerbeck and Cody Huff played a great game, some really important stops. Camels were without LB Jordan Woodruff hopefully he will be back at D next week. Missed you Woody!!

The real stud in the game last night was Rob Kues . Go NCC !!

How was he the stud? If you ask me he is not that great of a quarterback. He is not very smart with the ball and tries to do to much with it. That was the first good run i saw him make all night in overtime and it was only 2 yards. He needs to quit being selfish with the ball and get it to his receivers more often instead of keeping it and not getting anywhere. But thats just my opinion. Great game by both teams though. It's a shame someone had to lose in this one.

I think CC was worse. They had the ball with almost 3:00 min. to go and didn't even try to score. 2 running plays a sack and a punt back to NCC. It should have cost them the game in regulation.

One thing we can all agree on is that:

 

1) This was a great game to watch; both teams played hard and gave it their all.

 

2) Studer is a stud at WR.

I'll take Robbie Kues at QB anytime! Great athelete, tough with great heart! Better to err on the side of running than to throw ill-advised passes. What's their record?...yeah, I thought so!

I thought both teams played a hard fought, even match. Both teams were not @ 100% on the personnel side due to sickness & injury. The sound system @ Newport Stadium does not match the awesome field surface. I would have saved a few grand from the field and invested in a better sound system. The National Anthem came across as wounded dog (I'm sorry to say). PA announcer did a good job and the pre-game prayer was excellent. Again, awesome game to watch as a fan. Hopefully a great rivalry for years to come!:thumb:
