Corbin 39 North Laurel 14

Featured Replies

Corbin came out throwing and put the game away early. Apparently Coach Jewell and Coach Farris wanted to work on the passing game since the Redhounds have been running it more lately. Once they got a 34-0 lead they seemed to start working on the run game against a very tough North run defense. About halfway through the 3rd it wasn't an all out sub but they started mixing in JV with the varsity and that lasted through about a series or two in the 4th. North was able to put together a nice scoring drive. Towards the end of the game, Waldrup (sp?) had a very nice scramble for a 47 yards TD.

Hats off to North Laurel for never giving up and giving 100% for 48 minutes. There is a lot of talent out there on that team. They may be 0-7 but that's no indication on the heard they played with.

Good game, fun to watch with all the 80 and 90 vertical calls. Corbin is a good team, when the players can figure out how to take the play that is called and put the dagger in a team they will be a great team. In the 3rd qtr. it was called '2' D to try and keep people healthy.

Good game Hounds. You were suppose to win and you did, Kind of scary after half time though. Looked liked the coaches of old coming back to haunt us. Hope those ghost go back and we just play football. 7-1. That's a positive.

It appeared to me that Corbin was trying to run clock and not run the score up as well which was not easy as North had a good run defense plus 9 in the box. The Hounds lost focus as well and committed way too many penalties, something they had better clean up before the playoffs.

It was good to see so many kids get to play last night to help gauge how they can compete with the other team's first string, a lot of those guys are going to be counted on heavily next year.

Brandenburg is one heck of a defensive player for NL, but I did not qite understand why he is in the game playing against a lot of freshman with just over 2:00 to play, he could have hurt someone. Waldrup is a lot better QB than several have given him credit for and has a chance to be a very, very good one.

Once again I am not shocked to see CXorbin post another win this season.

They seem to be a very good team.

Corbin is an awesome team and I wish them the best the rest of the season.

NL's defense did not show up. Dropped passes, missed blocks, etc. killed North's offense, (along with Corbin's defense). However, North's offense did show some spark with both QBs on the field at once, was shocked to see that, thought they had some good connections.

WAY TO GO KENTUCKY WILDCATS!!!!!!!!!:dancingpa
