Who was better than them in 2006? Morgan County is the only on you could make a case for and they got beat first game of district, so who does that leave? I think Russell beat the rest of the field, and if the "calls had gone their way", they would have beat Elliot County by twenty in the finals of the region

 

Not that it matters, the thread is about this years team and I look for this years team to improve as the season goes along and be one of those teams you "hope" you don't draw when post season comes around if their new guards gain confidence as the season progresses

^ I don't think anybody knows who will start except for Ferguson. Russell will struggle this year. I don't think anybody would deny that. However they will still be well coached and play tough defense. I don't think too many teams in the 16th region will enjoy playing them. It will be a grind.

You are right about blind draw and remember Russell has been the school trying to get this district to seed for a while now.

 

I believe Russell will still vote to seed now, even this year if it was put to a vote again! Only mediocre teams choose not to place value on season matchups and "hope" for luck rather than talent when it comes to postseason.
